Teaching Aviation English: An Introduction

Abstract/Description
This webinar is intended to offer an introductory picture of aviation English. We try to cover the most elementary theoretical accounts along with the latest assumptions in order to determine it as a relevant area of research and studies. By trying to answer questions such as “Aviation English: WHAT? WHY? HOW?”, we discuss some possible aspects comprehended by the discussion. Aeronautical communications are seen as a pivotal issue in aviation, and with language playing a key role in this context, there is the need of professionals that are aware of their responsibility in teaching.
