Abstract
In just over a decade, Apple Inc has risen to the top as the most innovative and valuable technology company in the world. Since 2001 Apple saw an era of unprecedented growth and innovation. Its sales jumped by 29 times and profits by 570 times. This study plans to examine the effects of innovations on Apple’s stock price, which approximately increased by 51 times. Specifically, this paper plans to explore the subject of what makes the Apple stock different from its peers. Throughout history, the most successful and long lasting companies have always been the ones which completely reinvent themselves to adapt to a new age. Apple was first just a computer manufacturing company to start with. Since 2001 Apple has produced new innovations like the IPod, ITunes, IPhone and IPad which have changed the face of our world today. This project plans to study the reasons behind the rise of apple with each product innovation to determine the cause of its success.
