Human Factors and Applied Psychology Student Conference
Keynote Speaker Scott Rigby

On Friday, April 3rd, 2015, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will host the 9th annual Human Factors and Applied Psychology (HFAP) student conference. The purpose of the conference is to provide undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to present their research work in areas of human factors and applied psychology. HFAP provides a collegial environment and an opportunity to network with students and faculty from multiple universities with similar research interests. Abstract submission deadline is February 16th, 2015. This year’s keynote speaker is Scott Rigby, the CEO of Immersyve, a company that provides a framework for improving motivation, engagement, and behavior change. Immersyve’s goals are to make customers “happy” through customer satisfaction, motivation, and deeper engagement. Immersyve works in conjunction with many companies including Warner Brothers, Prudential, and Johnson & Johnson.

HFAP Special Event: ToP Conference

On Friday, April 3rd, 2015, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will host the 1st ToP Conference in addition to the Human Factors and Applied Psychology (HFAP) student conference. The purpose of the ToP Conference is to allow current and future teachers of psychology to exchange best practices for engaging students in applied learning for a wide range of core psychology subjects through a networking luncheon and workshop. The workshop will have presentations from experienced psychology faculty and there will be a poster session that includes outlines for best practices in teaching applied psychology utilizing experiential techniques. The call for proposals will be the same as HFAP on February 16th, 2015.
