Abstract
This article - House-wives and Mansion-wives by Mohamed Bushry - was originally published in mid-1999 in the now-defunct Haveeru Daily Online in the Maldives. The author discusses a domestic issue that might resonate with many people throughout the world comparing toiling housewives with those wives who live in mansions. The heroines, according to the author, are not wives who live in mansions. Instead, hard working housewives are the ones who should be honored.
