Description

One of NASA's stated goals is to get back to the basics and re-establish it's role of research, development and exploration of space and get out of the job of low earth orbit general space operations and communications. Having a privately and commercially operated Space Shuttle and Space Station is one way to accomplish this goal.

NASA has made commercialization and privatization activities a part of the 1998 strategic plan. The following is a brief out take on the 1998 plan.
