Biography

Erik is the grandson of Charles Lindbergh. He is an artist, adventurer, entrepreneur and avid pilot, and holds commercial, instrument, flight instructor and glider ratings.

In 1996, he helped launch the XPRIZE Foundation and the first 10 million dollar XPRIZE that was awarded helped jump-start the private spaceflight industry.

Erik serves as Chairman of the Board of the Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation, which is preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his Grandfather’s historic flight in the Spirit of St. Louis, in May of 2027. Erik and his wife Lyn also Co-Host The Lindberghs podcast focusing on second chances in life.

Erik has also been one of the industry leaders in advocating for, and accelerating the development of, the electric aircraft industry. He is Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of VerdeGo Aero which provides Powertrain Systems and Engineering Services to the emerging electric aircraft industry.

VerdeGo Aero is also our partner at Embry-Riddle’s John Mica Engineering and Aerospace Innovation Complex … working with our faculty, staff and students to develop and commercialize patent-pending technology designed to mitigate electric aircraft propeller noise …
