The ER-D72 UAV represents the next generation of unmanned high-speed intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) vehicles, designed to excel at multiple altitudes. Capable of operating at a wide range of altitudes and speeds, from subsonic cruise up to Mach 5. This engine is engineered to take off and land conventionally under nonstandard hot day conditions, providing the advantage of running in multiple atmospheric conditions which were designed around three selected flight conditions: end of takeoff roll, top of climb, and super cruise. During the proposed mission, the ER-D72 excels in supercruise capabilities, maintaining sustained supersonic flight without the need for afterburners, thus optimizing efficiency and fuel. It is equipped to perform high-speed surveillance maneuvers, prolonged cruising, and precise 3-G turns, ensuring comprehensive and reliable ISR operations. The ER-D72 UAV stands as the next generation fighter engine that has a high fuel efficiency, is light weight at 20,000 lbs, with a low specific fuel consumption of 0.976 per hour, and a maximum thrust if 23,000 lbs.
