How did 9/11 affect you personally and or professionally?
My name is Kirsten Bauernschmidt and I am a senior at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach. I am studying Spaceflight Operations and I am a member of our universities 9/11 Remembrance Committee. I took a unique approach to this project with a goal of finding out and educating students, staff, and alumni on how the spaceflight industry was affected by 9/11. I have been conducting interviews with ERAU alumni & industry professionals who were working at the time of the attacks. Although experiences are specific to the individual interviewees, each person’s insight extremely valuable.
