Edward Onwe
Vice President/General Manager
Ed has been with VT San Antonio Aerospace for over 10 years and has served the company in various capacities, including Quality Control Inspector, QA Manager, Director of Compliance and Continuous Improvement, Director of Maintenance and most recently Vice President, Maintenance and Engineering. Ed attended the University of Texas, Austin where he studied Aerospace Engineering. He also graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Technical Management degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Ed is also a distinguished graduate of St Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas where he earned an MBA and a Masters in Industrial Engineering. Ed has also completed the Lean Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul executive education program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Ed holds an A&P Certificate, Inspection Authorization (IA) and several FAA certifications. He is also a FAAS Team Representative and works closely with the FAA to promote Aviation Safety. Ed is a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and holds several ASQ certifications.
