Biography

Dr. John Robbins is the Program Coordinator for the Bachelor of Science in Unmanned Aircraft Systems and an Associate Professor with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. His research interests include engineering and safety issues currently affecting the aviation community, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) development and remote sensing applications, and extension/outreach curriculum development and implementation. John holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geology from the University of Florida, Master of Science Degree in Aeronautical Science with Education/Management specializations, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Florida. He is a commercially rated pilot in both fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft with a total flight time of 6,000 hours.
