Bio
Rick Garceau – Currently the Manager, Airspace, Procedures and Space Operations and co-manager of the Joint Space Operations Group (JSpOG) at the Air Traffic Control System Command Center. The office is responsible for tactical space and new entrants operations in the National Airspace System (NAS).
Before assuming his current position he served as Manager of the Command Center following assignments as Air Traffic Manager at Washington and Jacksonville Centers.
In his 38 year career Rick has had extensive experience in enroute and terminal Air Traffic Control Service as well as serving at FAA headquarters on two separate occasions. He began his career in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller in Omaha Nebraska (Offutt AFB) then subsequently served with the FAA in various roles at Gulfport, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Jacksonville Florida TRACON, Atlanta Center and Washington Center.
