Biography
Laurence Chin is the Country Manager of Singapore for United Airlines. Based in United’s Singapore office, Laurence is responsible for overseeing the company’s business in Singapore.
Laurence has over 40 years’ experience in the service industry. His career spans senior operational and management positions in the UAE, Bahrain, Switzerland, and Thailand. He was a founding member and principal consultant to the Service Quality Centre, a joint venture between Singapore Airlines and the then National Productivity Board. He consulted with many leading organizations such as United Overseas Bank and NTUC Comfort in change management.
Laurence is actively engaged in his community and lends his experience and expertise as a governor in the Singapore American Chamber of commerce. He is a member of the National Wages Council, the National Integration Council and the Singapore Institute of Directors. He also sits on the boards of the Singapore National Employers Federation, the IATA Executive Council and the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Asia advisory board. He previously served as Vice Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce, President of the Lions Club of Singapore, Metropolitan and board member of the Singapore Lions Home of the Elders.
