Biography
Hemanth has over 13 years of experience working in strategy & product development roles in VR/AR platforms in USA and India. He won the MIT TR35 Innovator award in 2012 and was featured in the book titled Indian Innovators. Between the years 2004 - 2006, Hemanth pioneered the development of Image guided Liver Surgery apparatus using Augmented Reality for a renowned Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, USA. Working with a startup based in Princeton, NJ in USA, Hemanth co-developed a wearable suit that tracked user’s movements across all limbs without an external tracker. This technology is currently referred to in Microsoft's mixed reality device - HoloLens. This enabled simulators for US defense training purposes fully portable. Hemanth is a TEDx Speaker twice and got featured in India’s Best CIOs in 2017 and has won several other recognitions. Hemanth holds a B.Tech degree from IIT Madras, a Masters in Research from State University of New York at Buffalo, a PG Diploma in Patent Law from NALSAR University of Law.
