Pacific Southwest Airlines or PSA operated out of San Diego CA and was founded by Kenneth G. Friedkin in 1945 as a fixed base operator and infrequent intrastate carrier between San Diego and Oakland. One way fare was at $10 gaining the nickname the "Poor Sailors' Airline". It operated a DC-3 and received intrastate certificate in 1949.
