Viking Airlines was founded by Roscoe Hart and Jack Lewin in 1945 as a low-fare infrequent passenger service coast-to-coast. They operated C-46, DC-3, and DC-4. Their registration was revoked for excessive frequency in 1950, and restarted in 1951 as Oxnard Sky Freight.
