Image belonged to RAF cadet Jim Watters, 5BFTS Course 25. The image is of an AT6-D taken after a crash at Riddle Field when the AT6-D code CG stalled at 50ft on landing with damaged wing after a mid-air collision. The crash was between September 1 and 6, 1945, and was probably one of the very last crashes at the field. It is not known if Jim Watters was the pilot, co-pilot or was observing from the ground. None of those in the image has been identified.
