Description
Image of Derek Holdroyd who was seriously injured in the fatal plane crash in which A Richard Thompson, Primary Instructor at 5BFTS, was killed. Richard was flying in a Stearman PT-17 with Derek as pilot. LAC Holdroyd recovered from his injuries and started his primary training again with Course 14. He subsequently graduated from 5BFTS. The image is from the Course 14 photograph taken on March 30, 1943.
