Funeral for RAF cadets Dennis Herman Washer aged 21 and Mervyn Hugh Ernest (Terry) Thomas aged 19 who were killed together in a plane crash on April 28, 1943, while training to be pilots at 5BFTS. They are buried in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission British Plot at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia.Both cadets were members of Course 12.
