Students research human performance, fatigue and decision-making using simulators and biometric tools. The lab prepares students for human factors careers.

The Cognitive Engineering Research in Transportation Systems (CERTS) Lab conducts research in human factors, human performance, training, attentional allocation, fatigue, situation awareness, adaptive automative, virtual reality and intentional insensitivity.

The mission of the CERTS Lab is to enhance the interaction of personnel, technology and the environment in transportation systems through basic and applied research.
