Abstract

A Diversity Audit of NASCAR

Our research project is a diversity audit of The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), a business venture that sanctions and governs multiple auto racing sports events. Our focus is on the Daytona Beach department. We have obtained information from J.C Blass from the Event Marketing Services department and Toni Frassetto, Senior Account Executive. We have also done research on the company’s employee handbook, training materials, journal articles and websites. This information has provided us with understanding for the companies policies and procedures related to inclusion and diversity. Our analysis is conducted via an Optimal Diversity and Inclusion Systems Check-Up and Diversity and Inclusion Audit Check-Up. Finally, we have provided suggestions addressing issues and concerns that we have discovered during our audit.
