Day2 - A3: Airspace & Air Traffic: Yasmina Platt

Yasmina Platt has worked for airports, sponsors, consultants, advocates and aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in many capacities including aircraft sales, research, advocacy, policy, marketing, aviation infrastructure (airport/heliport/vertiport) planning, design, and management. Having led infrastructure efforts for one of the leading electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft OEMs and helping a variety of clients with vertical flight projects, Yasmina is at the forefront of the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) sector. Additionally, as an actively licensed pilot and flight instructor (CFI and CFII), rated in single and multi-engine airplanes, seaplanes, and helicopters, Yasmina brings unique user insights.

Yasmina is the National Aviation Planning & Advisory Lead for AtkinsRéalis. She leverages her extensive and broad aviation experience to aid airports and heliports by optimizing their existing assets and planning future assets to be efficient and future-proof. She is currently serving FDOT as Florida’s AAM Principle of Aircraft Safety and Integration Development. Yasmina is working on all AAM initiatives for FDOT, including the development of the SunTrax Air facility and the deployment of the eVTOL and AAM Integration Pilot Program (eIPP). She holds a B.S. in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) and a M.S. in Transportation Planning and Management from Texas Southern University (TSU).
