The 2023 GEIA Seminar was hosted by the Airspace Control Institute (ICEA), from October 2nd to 5th, in São José dos Campos, SP, Brazil. To celebrate GEIA10th anniversary a commemorative event was held entirely in person. Most GEIA members, including Aviation English instructors, testers, researchers, curriculum and material developers, DECEA and ICEA authorities, and foreign guests were brought together to enjoy cheerful moments and share key issues in the Aviation field. International speakers from North America, Europe and Asia delivered, in person, important talks on different themes: Aeronautical English Testing, Language as a Human Factor, Aeronautical English Teaching Reports, Teacher Training and Teacher Development.
The Proceedings of the 10th GEIA are a collection of 5 summaries, 3 case studies and 4 full papers written by speakers from the seminar. The aim of the Proceedings is to disseminate relevant findings and experiences to those interested in learning more about the research carried out by GEIA members and participants. We appreciate the contribution of the authors who enriched this publication with engaging and useful content.
GEIA would like to thank ICEA for supporting the event, and all the presenters and attendees for sharing their expertise and experience.
Our special thanks go to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide for making this online publication possible and for spreading GEIA contributions around the globe.
