Biography

Janos Desi has worked during the past 34 years for numerous national daily newspapers and television channels, and currently works for an independent talk radio station. He has worked with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (contractor) for the past four years. He has written various articles on the Hungarian Holocaust and rescue efforts during WWII, particularly about Raoul Wallenberg. His publication entitled The Wallenberg Reportcame out in 2014. His English-language book The Interpreter and the Secretary General, about the activity of the Swedish Red Cross during the war, was published the following year. His research has been published in several venues, including Antisemitism in an Area Of Transition (ed. by Peter Lang). He is the editor of the series entitled Antisemitic Discourse in Hungary, report and documentation, 2000-2004
