Biography
Eric Friginal is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics at the Department of Applied Linguistics and ESL and Director of International Programs at the College of Arts and Sciences at Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA, USA. He specializes in applied corpus linguistics, intercultural communication, variationist sociolinguistics, technology and language teaching, and the analysis of spoken professional discourse. His books include The Language of Outsourced Call Centers, Corpus-Based Sociolinguistics: A Guide for Students, and Talking at Work: Corpus-Based Explorations of Workplace Discourse.
