Bob Walton


Dr. Bob Walton is a tenured Associate Professor in the College of Business, with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide. Formerly, he was the Executive Director of International Campus Operations for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide and Managing Director of Embry-Riddle Europe GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of ERAU. Before that, Bob was the Associate Dean of Academic Support for ERAU in Europe, responsible for the academic oversight of full-time and adjunct faculty. He has published in numerous academic journals and authored books on transportation, air cargo operations, the aerospace industry, statistics, and research methodology and presented his research at many professional conferences worldwide.

Bob wrote a textbook titled Transportation Principles: From Modes to Management for the LGMT 331 course and donated the material, in PDF format, to ERAU students to use in their coursework. The text includes 13 chapters and is over 200 pages long. Using this free material will save students over $48,000 per year in textbook costs (2023 enrollments of 213 students * new textbook $226.95 = $48,340). The material was included in the Canvas course shell in the Fall of 2023, and is currently available to students in the LGMT 331 course. – Faculty Nomination
