Biography

Tony Taliancich is the director of United Launch Alliance’s (ULA) East Coast Launch Operations. In this role, Taliancich provides strategic leadership to the ULA Launch Operations team and serves as senior site representative for East Coast ULA Launch Operations. He reports directly to Mark Dowhan, director and general manager, Launch Operations. Prior to this assignment Taliancich was director, ULA Customer Program Office.

Before joining ULA, Taliancich was deputy director, Atlas Cape Launch Operations, for Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company. Prior to that assignment, he was the senior manager of Atlas Government Launch Programs supporting the Atlas Government Programs Office (AGPO). In this role, he was responsible for providing programmatic support to government customers of the Atlas II, Atlas III and Atlas V launch systems.

Taliancich joined Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company in 2004 following a distinguished 20-year career in the United States Air Force where he served in a number of leadership roles. He held positions as Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV) Program Element Monitor and Program Management Staff Officer, Chief of Advanced Systems Launch Planning and Chief of IMINT Launch Division in the Office of Space Launch (OSL) and as Director of the EELV Cape Consolidated Task Force (CCTF). In this role, he formed the organization and led a 50-person team providing technical surveillance and monitoring of all EELV launch base activities for the U.S. Air Force and the National Reconnaissance Office.

Taliancich attended the Defense Systems Management College where he received Level III certification in Program Management and Systems Planning, Research and Development, and Engineering (SPRD&E). He also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Troy State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the United States Air Force Academy.
