Biography
John Robbins is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for the Bachelor of Science in Unmanned Aircraft Systems at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. His research interests include engineering and safety issues currently affecting the aviation community, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) applications, and extension/outreach curriculum development and implementation.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geology from the University of Florida, Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Science with Education/Management dual specializations and a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Florida. He is a commercially rated pilot in both fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft with a total flight time of 6,000 hours.
