Biography
Robert L. (Bob) Duffy is Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for Harris Corporation. Duffy is responsible for planning and implementing Harris’ Human Resources and Administrative organizations’ global strategy. He directs the development of the company’s workforce, including talent acquisition, leadership development and training, employee relations and compensation as well as benefits. He has oversight of corporate relations; communications/ public relations; and global security.
Mr. Duffy possesses over 29 years of human resources leadership experience. He came to Harris in 2012 from United Technologies Corporation (UTC) where he held domestic and international leadership positions of increasing responsibility since joining the company in 1998. He most recently served as vice president of Human Resources for the company’s $7 billion Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. Previously he served in similar roles within the company’s Fire & Security, Carrier, Hamilton Sundstrand and Pratt & Whitney operations.
Prior to joining UTC, Duffy held human resources management positions with Royal Dutch Shell and the James River Corporation.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in management and technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
