Description
Costs and benefits for four major TU Program activities were analyzed "by a series of research projects conducted during 1976 and 1977- This paper presents a summary of the results. The study data include the largest known random sample of costs and benefits due to technology transfer activities. Statistical results include benefit-to-cost ratios, correlations of user benefits with both program costs and user costs, and an internal rate of return distribution for investments in technical information. The predictability of benefits will also be discussed.
