Bio

Loretta Hall is an Albuquerque-based freelance writer specializing in science and engineering topics. She is the author of six nonfiction books. The most recent one, Space Pioneers: In Their Own Words, consists of annotated excerpts from oral history interviews of ninety men and women who were involved in various national and international space programs from 1945 through the space shuttle era. Her 2011 book, Out of this World: New Mexico’s Contributions to Space Travel, won six regional and national awards. She is a member of the National Space Society and the National Federation of Press Women.
