Presentation Description/Abstract

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how we observe, understand, and operate in Earth orbit. From enhanced space situational awareness and autonomous collision avoidance to optimized constellation management and debris-remediation planning, AI offers powerful tools for sustaining an increasingly congested, competitive, and complex orbital environment. On the longer horizon and space policy version, does AI promise something that we are not seeing today? What kind opportunities are there for the designer of future space traffic and how does today's operation enables or gets disabled by the future that we can "better" predict.
