Sustainable Horizons: Lessons Across the Decades

Location: Mori Hosseini Student Union Event Center, Daytona Beach, Florida
Submission Deadline: Monday, 12 October 2026 at 11:59 pm EST
The 6th Annual ERAU Sustainability Conference is now seeking community and academic contributions. This event will provide a forum for interested students, faculty, staff, and community members to discuss sustainability ideas that impact our campuses, our community, and our natural environment. Submitted contributions will be peer reviewed.
The theme of this year’s conference will be “Sustainable Horizons: Lessons Across the Decades.” Areas of research can include:
- Past Foundations — historical lessons & legacy environmental aspects
- Present Innovations — current technologies; green propulsion and alternative fuels
- Future Goals — aerospace & advanced mobility; net-zero mobility
- On Earth — resource management; infrastructure; resilient operations; supply and manufacturing; transportation
- Beyond Earth — space ethics and sustainability
- Resilient Humanity — social & community sustainability; engineering ethics
- Next-Gen Systems — AI, smart tech, automation
- More than simply sustainable:
- Climate science
- Energy
- Technology and Development
- Arts and Culture
- Education
- Economy
- Florida
- Community
- Campus and University
Multidisciplinary approaches to the theme and other research on sustainability are welcome.
Contributions are invited in the following categories:
- Live or virtual oral presentations
- 10-15 minutes for students
- 15-20 for faculty, staff, and community members
- Poster presentations
- Interactive tabling or demonstrations
- Display materials, demonstrate technologies, or offer opportunities for networking
Student submissions and presentations are eligible for the following awards:
- Best Abstract
- Best Oral Presentation
- Best Poster Presentation
- Best Interactive Table or Demonstration
ERAU academic departments and administrative units are invited to join the Honors Program in sponsoring this event. Sponsors will be acknowledged in conference materials.
