EXPLORE THE WORLD OF STEM!

Each year, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University hosts a day for female middle school students from Volusia and Flagler counties to explore career fields in aviation, engineering, and aerospace. The events of the day include an activity fair, guest speaker, and lunch. The girls have the opportunity to learn about all of the different majors available at Embry-Riddle.

During the activity fair, the University’s faculty, staff, and students engage the girls in fun, hands-on activities in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). The goal of the event is to show young ladies that they can have successful careers in aviation, engineering, and science.

Note: The Women in Stem event was prior to 2025 known as Women in Aviation Day.
