The Keynote Speaker Josy Acosta
Josy Acosta is President and Senior Director of Pratt & Whitney Puerto Rico, an RTX business with over 1,000 employees. As part of her role, Josy leads the organization focused on advancing technical proficiency, cultural transformation, and assuring sustainable business growth.
She joined P&W PR in 2004 and since has held positions of increasing responsibility. Among her leadership roles she has been P&W Customer Liaison, Delivery Manager for the Externals COE, Manager of the Project Management Department, and Business Unit Manager for the Aerospace Defense & Industrial Solutions Organization and the Module Center Organization.
Her support of Corporate Social Responsibility efforts includes serving as Executive Sponsor of PRIDE, and employee resource group that supports the LGBTQ+ community in RTX. Other partnerships involve Josy with NAF, a national education non-profit to help students explore career options in STEM; Benito Cerezo Vázquez, a public high school in Aguadilla to develop a robust sports & eGame program; and CocoPR, a Puerto Rican non-profit that educates on environmental and coastal conservation to develop the local economy. Outside of her executive leadership in P&W PR, Josy has directed the Puerto Rico Aerospace Technology Consortium as board president. In 2024, she was selected and awarded as Executive of the Year in the Service Sector by the Southwestern Industrial Association in the Island.
Josy also enjoys spending time with her family, fitness, and eating out. In her free personal time, she enjoys attending her son’s soccer games, running (recreationally), biking, and brunch. She is also an avid reader.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez Campus. She has also participated in multiple Executive Development Programs from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Thayer Leadership Development Group as part of the P&W PR Leadership Development Program.
