ASEE EDGD invites undergraduate students to submit an abstract for a poster presentation at the 70th mid-year conference. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, engineering drawing, CAD, 3D printing, manufacturing.
Students may enter in the following categories:
- Freshman/Sophomore Engineering Design Teams
- Junior/Senior Engineering Design Teams
- Individual Undergraduate Research

Registration fee is $100. Registered students can attend Welcome Reception dinner at ERAU, workshops, technical sessions. Ignite scholarships are available to ERAU students.

Student Poster Abstract Template
Abstract should include Authors’ name and school affiliation.
Provide a title for and summary of the project for the poster. In the summary, include the nature or significance of the topic, research questions, methods, results, and conclusion.
Include design specifications and any assumptions/restrictions that had to be met.

Judging and Awards
Each poster will be judged by a panel of typically 3 or 4 EDGD professional members from academia and industry. You must present your poster at Welcome reception on Jan.24th Sunday night at 7pm and talk to judges in order to qualify for the Poster Competition. Awards will be given to the top posters in each topical area at the end of the poster session.
Why should you participate?
- It is a great opportunity to meet faculty, researchers, vendors, publishers, and engineers in engineering graphics field from academia and industry.
- You'll probably realize that your ideas are more significant, relatively speaking, than you thought.
- You can list the conference and your presentation, maybe even your award on your curriculum vitae.
- It is an excellent opportunity to learn more about engineering graphics, CAD software, 3D printing, and manufacturing in a diverse, professional environment.
Poster Requirements
- You will be responsible for printing the poster and bringing it to the conference. The recommended poster size is 4’x3’ tri-fold (portrait layout). Please ask your advisor for printing assistance. They can tell you how to get your poster printed at your institution. Easels will be provided by the conference.
- The conference will have the poster board and pins available onsite.
