Biography

He started career as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer after completing an apprenticeship program with Singapore a full term engineering career with Republic of Singapore Airforce for 24 years, before venturinAirlines, and then transited into g into entrepreneurship in the private sector. Over the years in RSAF, he has held numerous senior engineering and command positions. It was there where he gained most of his aviation credentials, as he started the Failure Investigation Analysis, and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Community of Practices there. After leaving RSAF, he owned and operated as the CEO of an aviation MRO and FBO business in Seletar Airport, and also adjunct as a lecturer in then the SIM University. He is currently also the Chair of the Chartered Engineers Aerospace Review Committee under IES.
In 2014, he and Dr Chong the current Managing Director, co-founded the Aviation Virtual Private Limited (AVPL). This Virtual Reality (VR) solutioning company have since completed many visualisation of some of Singapore most iconic building construction projects such as Changi Jewel and even the future Terminal 5, Hospital of the Future, just to name a few. Mr Khoo as a Director has been instrumental in laying the fundamental roadmap and visions for making AVPL to be a forward looking VR Tech company today. He has implemented a truly andrological approach when deploying Learning Sciences and Virtual Reality solutions for training; which has seen many successes in the various innovative applications across many different industries.
