Synopsis

Telangana is the youngest state in India and after the new Government took charge one of their key focus areas was Enhancing Skill Development for which TELANGANA ACADEMY FOR SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE (TASK) was established.

The Innovation process began with understanding stakeholder views (Academia, Industry & Government) and their pain points in skilling followed by creation of a value proposition around the concept of Employability Quotient (EQ).

EQ is a combination of various skills as per the pictogram below and imparting skilling around these help youth choose several avenues like enhanced hit rate in getting jobs, higher studies and option to become entrepreneurs.

TASK has been able to roll out several unique skilling initiatives in the state for youth studying in colleges as well as those currently unemployed. Since its inception in 2014, over 500+ colleges across Telangana are registered with TASK and 200000+ youth have been skilled with industry partnerships in sectors of IT/ITES, BFSI, Life sciences, Retail and Aerospace.
