Description
Image belonged to RAF cadet Jim Watters, 5BFTS Course 25. The reverse side of image 4, it has an description of a photo taken after a crash when AT6-D code CG stalled at 50ft on landing with damaged wing after a mid-air collision. The crash was between September 1 and 6, 1945, and was probably one of the very last crashes at the field. It is not known if Jim Watters was the pilot, co-pilot or was observing from the ground. None of those shown in images 4 and 5 have been identified.
