Description
Image owned by RAF cadet Jim Watters, 5BFTS Course 25, after a crash in which the AT6-D stalled at 50ft on landing with damaged wing after a mid-air collision. This AT-6 is coded CG and crashed between September 1 and 6, 1945, in what was probably the one of the very last crashes at the field. It is not known if Jim Watters was the pilot, co-pilot or was observing from the ground. None of those in the image have been identified.
