From the Ashes

Description (Optional)

A work from the series, Juxtaposition, the image depicts a newly grown plant emerging from the ashes of a fire. This image was work that took more than six months to create, from locating the burned out ashes and the small emergence of the baby pine tree to the point where it was large enough to photograph. The image was created using a light painting technique in which a flashlight and long exposure are used to create the image. The print is 12x18 using a dye infused metal process with an aluminum substrate.
