Day 1 Fireside Chat – Infrastructure Providers: Addison Ferrell
Addison Ferrell is Director of Infrastructure for Skyports, leading the company’s acquisition, design, development, and operation of skyports for helicopters and air taxis across the globe. His team addresses real estate agreements, local stakeholder engagement, regulatory approvals, airport planning, operational procedures, and enabling technology required to develop and operate safe, efficient, passenger-friendly skyports. Major projects include building the world’s first commercial vertiport network in Dubai and operating the world’s busiest commercial heliport, Downtown Skyport, in NYC.
Addison began his career as a mechanical engineer designing jet engines at GE Aviation. Following that, he joined McKinsey as a management consultant, serving clients in aerospace & defense and other industrials on a range of strategic and operational topics. He has degrees from Duke University (BS), University of Cincinnati (MS), and Harvard Business School (MBA). He is based in Boston, MA.
