Day 2 - A3: Airspace & Air Traffic: Kevin Thompson
Kevin Thompson currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Planning for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (Aviation Authority), which operates Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Executive Airport (ORL).
In this role, he is charged with developing and sustaining a world-class airport system through planning initiatives consistent with the Aviation Authority’s long-range goals and vision. With a strong background in airport operations, noise, and airspace, Kevin serves as liaison between various federal, state, and local officials in support of advanced air mobility (AAM) system planning. He is also responsible for the development, implementation, and update of airport strategic planning initiatives related to Airport Layout Plans (ALP) and Airport Master Plans for MCO and ORL. Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from Florida Institute of Technology.
