Day 2 - A1: Security and Automation: Marcus Johnson

Marcus Johnson has over 17 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary high performing teams developing novel technologies that address large-scale complex global challenges. His current work focuses on leading teams to increasingly automated air traffic management to enable a safe, sustainable, and scalable increase in advanced air mobility aircraft (e.g. eVTOL, drones) flying in the future. His previous professional experience focused on designing, analyzing and flight testing advanced control law algorithms for manned and unmanned vehicles. He has also worked on understanding the future impact of climate change on aviation, developing drones that can put out wildfires, and various vehicles in the commercial, military, proof-of-concept, and research domains. His previous academic research was focused on developing strategies for making intelligent decisions in an uncertain environments, particularly focused on using reinforcement learning and Game Theory to develop mutually beneficial strategies to coordinate between multi-agent systems with interdependent dynamics.
