B2: Florida's Aerial Network Entry Points and its Economic Impact, Charlie Cope

Charlie Cope is the Director of Flight Operations for Brickyard Connection, a part 135 air carrier representing Republic Airways’ Regional and Advanced Air Mobility initiatives and programs. A graduate of Kent State University’s College of Aeronautics and Engineering, Charlie has spent the past 30+ years working in a wide variety of Airline, Business and Commercial Aviation related fields. A pilot since age 16, Charlie has held the roles of flight instructor, corporate pilot, airline pilot, NASA flight research pilot, AAM industry SME/Advisor, Business Development Director, Chief Pilot, and VP/Director of Operations for several part 135 air carriers. Charlie brings a broad and diverse background and experience set to Republic. He feels privileged to have had the opportunity to lead both large and small teams in many aviation related areas from building an advanced aircraft flight training facility, to leading a 100 member NASA flight research team, and managing a high performance part 135 scheduled air carrier. Charlie brings a passion for aviation and has a broad and proven track record in furthering many aviation technology and safety initiatives, as well as developing strategies to further the business case for Advance Air Mobility and a vibrant aviation community.
