Abstract
Dismayed by horrendous tenure in the Army, Darren Wallis seeks the ultimate escape, the Alaskan Wilderness. Hoping to unwind and unravel, Darren cannot escape his towering demons amidst the solitude of his log cabin. Burdened by booze and drugs, Darren hits a new low and looks to God to provide answers. Presented with the story of Sisyphus, Darren is reminded of the power of hard work and discipline. As Darren builds himself back up, he realizes what he is leaving on the table.

My name is David Bus and I enjoy all things related to short stories. I am an Avionics Electrical Technician in the Coast Guard currently stationed in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I am an avid hiker, biker, and skier.
