Abstract
A coming-of-age story of an immigrant boy, and the story of a fateful night when he was taught the harsh lesson of life consequences. His story touches on his relationship with his absent father, uncaring stepmother, and a reflection of his known emotional trauma all collide in a second story room of his parent's house.
Bio
Mark Oroceo was born in Manila, Philippines January 17, 1985. Upon immigrating to the United States he was raised in Atlanta, Georgia where his love of sports, writing, and patriotism was nurtured. After September 11th, Mark joined the United States Marine Corps serving for over twenty-one years and has participated in operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, Spain, and Kenya. He now lives in San Diego, studying at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to achieve his dream of being an accident investigator for the NTSB.
