Abstract
In the dystopian future of 2156, society is shaped by “echoes”—brief glimpses of future conversations experienced by everyone. For Avery, a skilled negotiator, these echoes are deeply emotional, revealing more than just words but the underlying fears, loves, and conflicts of others. When her best friend, Jonah, uncovers a conspiracy within the government agency Chronos, she learns that these echoes are manipulated to control global events. Avery and Jonah find themselves entangled in a high-stakes mission to expose Chronos’s plot, risking everything to restore autonomy to the people. As they unveil the dark influence of echo manipulation, they confront questions of free will and societal control, catalyzing a global reckoning that challenges the very fabric of the future.
