Abstract
I wrote the following found poem based on chapter 45 of Thomas Harris' The Silence of the Lambs. It's been many many years since I read the book, but that chapter has always stayed with me. In the middle of all the chaos and horror surrounding the hunt for Buffalo Bill, Harris takes a moment to describe the deeply saddening but loving last moments of Jack Crawford and his wife Bella as she passes away from cancer. I remember being blindsided by this chapter and the intense emotional response it produced.
Bio
