Abstract

After the Screen Goes Dark is a reflective story about an IT professional and adult student trying to balance work, school, and everyday responsibilities. After spending the day solving problems for others, he returns home exhausted but still has his own goals to work toward. Through a quite night of frustration, self-doubt, and persistence, the story explores the pressure of trying to build a better future while managing the demands of the present. It shows that progress does not always come through the simple decision to keep going when it would be easier to stop.
