Biography
Joaquim d’Orey is a Brazilian Commercial Pilot and works as a Certified Flight Instructor at STS Flight School in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Joaquim holds a bachelor’s degree in Science in Aeronautics from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, where he was also part of the Center for Microgravity Research team and worked on developing and testing airfoils on wind tunnels.
Parallel to his activities as a CFI Joaquim is also a Jet Transition Instructor on a B737NG fixed base simulator at VOLO Flight Training. He previously was part in a course development team at an online aviation training platform, Mach Training, where he coordinated the development of an IFR Refreshment course.
Joaquim currently lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
